Vacancy-Research Intern at Center for Conservation Biology

Kathmandu Institute of Applied Sciences (KIAS) is a not-for-profit research organization in Nepal established by a group of Nepali scientists with proven excellence in basic and applied research as well experience in science popularization. Currently, KIAS conducts advanced research through constituent research centers, each of them is led by full time Ph.D. scientists with several students and national and international collaborators. Center for Conservation Biology (CCB) is carrying out several research projects on endangered species, habitat restoration and conservation education. CCB at KIAS seeks application from competent, committed and result-oriented individual to work with a group of internationally recognized experts.

Position available  : Research intern
Number of positions :3
Type : Research trainee (full time – 9 AM to 5 PM, five days a week)
Duration: 6 months
Workstation : KIAS office (Frequent field visits)

Major responsibilities:  The research intern will be responsible for data collection, literature review and field survey when required under supervision of team leader.

Qualification: The ideal candidate should have at least a BS degree in Environmental Management/Science, Zoology, Botany or other relevant disciplines (MS is prefered).

The candidate should have strong commitment, interpersonal communication and computer skills. The candidate should be focused and willing to follow the ethics of research work, able to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. 

Salary: According to KIAS rule.
